In recognizing the challenges that the homeless face, especially during the pandemic, we delivered 24 care packages containing survival essentials as well as COVID-19 supplies. Check out our Instagram page for more information!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!

We are currently looking for cards to put inside our care packages! The requirements are create a digital single-sided card (preferably Canva) and write any kind message of your choice for the homeless. Please do not include any personal information. Please email us your card, along with your full name and the time it took to create the card. For more details, send us a dm or an email to info@focusyouth.ca! Check out below for more information.

FOCUS Youth Care Package Cards

Thank you for your interest in helping out with our Care Packages initiative! We look forward to seeing the amazing cards you create! In this document, you will find everything you need to know regarding how to submit a card. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us on Instagram (@focusyouthorg) or email us at info@focusyouth.ca. Cards are due Friday, February 19th, at 11:59pm.

Card Requirements

Include a nice message to a homeless person. Graphics and other designs are permitted.
Cards can be in color or black and white.
Cards must be a digital format (PDF or Canva link).
Maximum card size of 8.5 by 11.5 inches (letter size).
Cards must be single-sided. However, they can be folded in half to contain the message on the inside.
Do not include any personal information (name, address, etc).

Obtaining Volunteer Hours

There is a maximum of 5 cards per person, at a maximum of 3 volunteer hours per card. However, hours are given at the discretion of the FOCUS Youth Team.
Send the cards to info@focusyouth.ca. The cards should be either a Canva link or PDF.
Title the email “Care Package Cards”
In the email, include your full name, your grade, and the school you are currently attending.
Indicate how many hours were spent on each card. We will send you a proof of volunteering letter once we have received your email. If you would like us to sign a specific volunteer form, please include the form in the email.
